During her ninth-grade year her father resigned his pastorate to pursue his calling into full-time evangelism. Traveling with her parents, Starla completed grades 10 through 12 by correspondence. As her family traveled extensively, she began to receive invitations for personal appearances. She went on to attend Liberty University while singing and performing concerts on weekends.
Beginning in her youth, the Lord has used Starla through her music and personal testimony to minister to thousands of people lifting their spirits, challenging their lives, and leading many to give their hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ! Her voice is truly a gift from God and she uses it to bring glory to her Savior.
Starla Harbin's love for our Lord and His music began at a very young age. She grew up in a wonderful Christian home, the youngest of six children. As the daugher of a pastor, she learned early in life to have a deep love and appreciation for the Word of God. Starla was saved at a very young age, and shortly thereafter felt God's call to Christian service. At age thirteen, as a member of the youth choir, she began to fully realize and understand her love for singing.
"Starla is a wonderful role model for young women today. Her heart to sacrificially serve the Lord with the talents He has given her has been an inspiration to me. Her beautiful and powerful voice, along with her gentle and gracious manner, are quite a combination. Starla always brings a spiritual 'breath of fresh air' with her."
